Higher educationA public website built for a large author community
Ladoo has worked alongside Deakin’s marketing team for years, first on a Squiz Matrix rebuild with a custom authoring interface and more recently on a component-led Squiz DXP rebuild. The latest sprint shipped in August 2026.

- What we did
The first engagement was co-located with the Deakin marketing team for over a year, running daily stand-ups, fortnightly iteration planning and stakeholder demos. We built a customised author interface on Squiz Matrix with inline editing, so content creators could combine modular components without writing code and still stay inside the style guide.
A living style guide documented module configurations, authoring techniques and templates, and existing student content was migrated alongside the redesign.
The current program is a large-scale Squiz DXP rebuild aligned with Deakin’s Live the Future strategy. Ladoo delivers reusable components and templates, Funnelback search, forms, authoring interfaces, content migration and documentation, with governance patterns for a significant distributed publishing environment.
What shipped
- Authors build complex pages from modular components with no HTML
- Reusable DXP components and templates that keep page builds consistent across a large site
- A working relationship hundreds of sprints long
